Safety Center

BuildrBond provides privacy, block, report, moderation, and appeal tools. Those tools reduce risk; they cannot eliminate it or replace your judgment, emergency services, or qualified professional help.

Immediate danger: call 911 or your local emergency number. BuildrBond email and moderation queues are not emergency services.

Before meeting

  • Keep early conversations on BuildrBond so block/report context remains available.
  • Never send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, banking credentials, identity documents, or investment funds to an online connection.
  • Be cautious if someone pressures you to leave the service, promises instant intimacy, avoids meeting, or creates an urgent financial story.
  • Consider a voice or video conversation, independently verify material claims, and tell a trusted person your plans.
  • Meet in a populated public place, control your transportation, keep your phone available, and avoid sharing a home/work address too early.

Consent, privacy, and boundaries

Consent must be freely given, informed, specific, and reversible. Silence, prior consent, a relationship, alcohol or drug impairment, or attendance at an event is not consent. Respect a “no,” a changed mind, a block, and requests to stop contact. Do not share screenshots, profiles, messages, attendee lists, personal addresses, or intimate material without permission.

Verification has limits

BuildrBond does not perform comprehensive background checks. Email verification confirms control of an address; builder verification reflects a limited evidence review; photo review screens the submitted image. No badge establishes a person's full identity, criminal history, professional standing, intentions, or safety.

Report and block

Use Report a safety concern for harassment, impersonation, scams, hate, sexual content, suspected minors, exploitation, or other risks. Blocking immediately removes the member from your discovery and active-connection experience. Reports are private and may be preserved even if an account is later deleted.

For suspected fraud, you may also report to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. For suspected child sexual exploitation, use the NCMEC CyberTipline. Do not download, forward, or email suspected child sexual abuse material.

Mental-health crisis

In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact emergency services and provide the information you have rather than relying only on an in-app report.

How BuildrBond may respond

We may preserve evidence, restrict contact, remove content, suspend an account, cancel event access, contact affected people, and report matters to NCMEC, emergency services, law enforcement, or other authorities when required or reasonably necessary. We do not promise a particular result or response time, but urgent safety information is prioritized according to available staffing and risk.
